motorcycle parked on the streetWith the banquet in the rear-view mirror, the 2016 motorcycle program has come to a close.  Looking at raw numbers, we taught 762 students in ‘Gearing Up!’ alone. That number placed us third amongst other Canadian Safety Council programs in Ontario and number one in the greater Ottawa area.

When I had the pleasure of meeting the late Stuart Munro (early OSC motorcycle training pioneer who lends his name to our new instructor award) a few years ago, he asked, “Have you ever thought about how many lives you may have saved?”  Certainly a sobering question, but does capture the spirit of why many of us are involved in motorcycle training.

I’m sure we’re all looking forward to hitting the asphalt both on two wheels and on the training range once the snow clears. Until then, do enjoy all the winter season offers and the much deserved down time. I hope to see you all at refresh.
