The Ottawa Safety Council (OSC) delivers programs, services and awareness campaigns that aim influencing road users to be more diligent and aware of how we are ALL responsible for everyone else’s safety when we use our shared roads.

Our Programs and Initiatives

The OSC offers a range of high-impact programs that make our communites safer every day. Your donation and sponsorship supports these key initiatives:

Crossing Guard Programs

Keeping children safe as they travel to and from school in Ottawa, Toronto and Brockville.

Free Pedestrian, Cycling Safety & Passenger and Training for Kids

Teaching elementary age how to navigate our roads confidently and responsibly, and setting them up to better drives when they get behind the wheel.

Motorcycle

Motorcycle Training Programs

Helping new and seasoned riders stay safe on the road with professional training courses.

Community

Road Safety Awareness Campaigns

Creating awareness in our communities about the importance of road safety, with a particular focus on vulnerable road users (cyclists, school zones, pedestrians, children) and influencing driver behaviours/road safety culture (sharing the roads, distraction, aggressive/impatient driving etc.)
