Workplace Health and Safety

The Ottawa Safety Council Management and its Board of Directors is committed to the health and safety of all of their employees and volunteers. All employees and volunteers are oriented and trained for the work they are hired to do, and supervisors ensure that all employees are working in a safe environment. Members of the Joint Health and Safety Committee work to ensure all health and safety requirements under the Occupational Health and Safety Act are met in the workplace. This includes regular site inspections and documentation of findings.

Some employees and volunteers are trained in Standard First Aid/CPR, Bill 168-Violence and Harassment in the Workplace, and the Customer Service Policy for Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability training.
